Application Requirements for Partner Institutions

  • Partner institutions should follow the steps below when submitting applications of their students, academic staff, and administrative staff.
  • Institution representatives should write the applicant's information on letterhead and specify the faculty or administrative unit they wish to apply to, then send it by email to international@marmara.edu.tr
  • The document must include the name of the candidate, their affiliated institution, faculty or administrative unit, and the department at Marmara University to which they wish to apply, and must be signed by the Head of department or Rectorate.

 

For students:

  • Undergraduate students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.20/4.00.
  • Graduate (Master's/Doctoral) students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50/4.00.
  • The Marmara University Learning Agreement form must be completed.
  • Completion of the document containing personal information,
  • Current transcript sample,
  • Language proficiency certificate.
  • Copy of Passport,
  • 1 photo in jpeg format.

 

Note: The language proficiency certificate must be in the same language as the program you wish to apply for at Marmara University. If the applicant has a current internationally recognized test result (IELTS, TOEFL) or a certificate demonstrating their language proficiency, they can submit a copy printed on letterhead.

 

For Academics:

  • Academics wishing to undertake learning, internship mobility, teaching, organizing symposiums, or institutional visits should follow the steps below to apply.
  • Academic staff must find a supervisor/partner from the department to which they intend to apply.
  • The academic staff member who will act as the supervisor/partner on behalf of Marmara University must accept the request and notify our office through the Electronic Document Management System (EBYS).
  • Academics who receive acceptance must send their visit request letter on institutional letterhead, indicating the faculty/institute they wish to apply to international@marmara.edu.tr
  • The submitted documents must be signed with the knowledge and approval of the Rectorate and the department chair of their home university.
  • Academic staff must prepare a document to explaining the purpose of their visits and work plans during the stay.
  • A passport copy, a photograph, work plan document, request letter, and the supervisor’s acceptance email must be sent to international@marmara.edu.tr

 

For Administrative Staffs.

  • Administrative staffs from partner institutions wishing to apply for an internship or institutional visit should prepare a request letter addressed to the Rectorate of Marmara University.
  • The document must include specifying the department they will be visiting, their work plan, and the dates of the activities.
  • This document must send it to international@marmara.edu.tr
  • The request letters will be forwarded to the relevant department, and nominees will be accepted based on department availability.
  • Participants' documents must be signed by the administrative unit managers and the Rectorate.

 

Internship Application Requirements for Master's and Doctoral Students

  • The nominees must find a faculty advisor from the department they wish to apply to.
  • The nominees prepare a work plan and submit them to their faculty advisor and to international@marmara.edu.tr
  • The nominee's acceptance will be granted by the Office of International Relations and Academic Cooperation after approval by their advisor at Marmara University.
  • Internship mobility must be for a minimum of 2 months. Requests for shorter periods within the scope of internship activities will not be accepted.
