Marmara University hosted Iftar program dedicated to international exchange students on Monday, March 16, at the Göztepe Campus. The event brought together students currently enrolled through Erasmus+ and other exchange programs.
The program was attended by senior university administration, including Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Okur, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ümit Süleyman Şehirli, General Secretary Hasan Şahin, and Rector’s Advisor Prof. Dr. Yusuf Kaynak. Also in attendance were Prof. Dr. Ekmel Geçer from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özkan Zülfüoğlu, Coordinator of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Office, along with his staff.
Representing 19 different countries, the international students had the opportunity to experience Turkish culture firsthand during an evening that reflected the Ramadan spirit of solidarity and sharing.
The event concluded in a warm and sincere atmosphere, serving as a significant platform for strengthening intercultural dialogue and fostering global connections within the university community.
