Erasmus+ Bilateral Agreements
Erasmus+ KA131 bilateral agreements are collaborative initiatives that enable student and staff exchanges between our university and partner institutions across Europe. These agreements promote international mobility by allowing participants to expand their academic experience, immerse themselves in different cultures, and develop skills valuable for their careers. By fostering partnerships that emphasize mutual recognition of academic credits and shared resources, KA131 agreements reinforce our commitment to international education.
Higher Education institutions that wish to cooperate under the framework of Erasmus+ KA131 program should have valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education.
Higher education institutions holding an ECHE - 2021-2027
Eligible countries for KA131 IIAs
Bilateral agreements under the Erasmus+ KA131 program may be signed with the following participating countries:
- All EU Member States
- EFTA/EEA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway)
- Countries associated with the Erasmus+ program (North Macedonia, Serbia, Türkiye)
EWP and signing IIAs
To streamline the establishment of Inter-Institutional Agreements (IIAs), we use the Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) system. EWP provides a digital framework for:
- managing and signing IIAs electronically;
- simplifying the exchange of information between institutions;
- improving the efficiency and transparency of the agreement process.
Marmara University uses the EWP-Dashboard platform to sign and administer IIAs. Higher education institutions wishing to collaborate with Marmara University should submit their agreement proposals through this platform. This ensures efficient management of bilateral agreements and facilitates clear communication between institutions.
Each program at Marmara University has an Erasmus+ coordinator who evaluates potential international collaborations. Prospective partners should contact the Erasmus coordinator of the relevant program to confirm curriculum alignment and the availability of ECTS credits that meet mobility requirements. Engaging the appropriate coordinator helps ensure a smooth partnership and compliance with the standards required for successful exchanges.
